LPG sourcing & commercial coordination

Liquefied petroleum gas inquiries need a defined composition and a compatible receiving system. Commercial coordination starts with the intended application and handling requirements.

Define the composition and intended use

LPG can refer to propane, butane or a blend. Heating, industrial processing and autogas applications can require different grades. Specify composition, intended use, seasonal conditions and the destination specification before asking for a comparable price.

Product and quality schedule

Agree the testing basis and acceptable limits with the technical buyer. A generic LPG description leaves critical acceptance questions unresolved.

  • Propane/butane composition and relevant impurities.
  • Vapor pressure, sulfur and water requirements.
  • Sampling, testing and quantity measurement basis.

Storage and transport compatibility

Identify whether the movement uses pressurized or refrigerated equipment. The loading facility, vessel and receiving installation must be compatible with the proposed cargo. Ask the operators to confirm operational acceptance and the measurement basis.

A workable commercial inquiry

State quantity and unit, loading or destination location, delivery period, grade and discharge constraints. Logistics coordination should resolve terminal access and vessel suitability before commitments. Seller authorization and product availability require separate verification.

Define your requirement.

Share the grade, quantity, destination and timing. Product availability remains subject to confirmation.
