INTERNATIONAL PETROLEUM REPRESENTATION

Liquefied gas / Petroleum products

LNG sourcing & commercial coordination

LNG procurement is closely linked to receiving infrastructure, cargo quality and shipping capacity. An executable requirement needs more detail than a volume and a destination country.

LNG and its commercial applications

Liquefied natural gas is transported in a cryogenic state and commonly regasified for distribution or industrial use. The buyer must identify an approved receiving facility and the intended downstream use. Availability of a berth is not equivalent to a firm terminal slot.

Quality and energy measurement

Commercial comparisons should use a consistent energy and measurement basis. Agree composition, calorific value, interchangeability criteria and custody-transfer methodology with the receiving operator. Include how measurement differences will be reconciled.

Receiving readiness and vessel acceptance

Confirm the terminal’s cargo acceptance envelope, vessel compatibility, arrival window and discharge requirements. The contract should allocate boil-off, delays, rejected cargo and operational deviations rather than leave them to assumption.

Information for an LNG inquiry

Include spot or term requirements, cargo size, delivery window, receiving terminal, quality envelope and buyer identity. KazExpo can coordinate commercial review subject to the principal’s authority and capability. See the buyer preparation checklist before requesting terms.

Define your requirement.

Share the grade, quantity, destination and timing. Product availability remains subject to confirmation.
