Bitumen sourcing & commercial coordination

Bitumen procurement must connect the grade to the project specification, climate and delivery method. Bulk and packaged deliveries need different logistics and cost comparisons.

Grades and applications

Identify the project specification and whether the requirement uses penetration, viscosity or performance grading. Do not assume two grades are interchangeable because they share a similar trade description. The buyer’s technical team should approve the proposed material.

Quality documentation

Agree applicable tests, acceptance limits and batch traceability. Depending on the grade, the schedule may address penetration, softening point, viscosity and aging characteristics. Modified products require additional composition and performance information.

Packaging and handling

Specify bulk, drums or another agreed package. Confirm net weights, packaging condition, heating arrangements and receiving equipment. Inland transport constraints and storage temperatures can materially affect landed cost and usable delivery timing.

Preparing a bitumen inquiry

Provide grade, project or intended use, quantity, packaging, delivery location and schedule. Review transport and inspection responsibilities before comparing offers. This page does not certify any source or imply a standing inventory.

Define your requirement.

Share the grade, quantity, destination and timing. Product availability remains subject to confirmation.
